Thimblelady's patented Cone Thimble in stainless steel - the most durable of all! If you want one thimble to quilt for life, this is the ONE! We are so confident of its durability, we have a life warranty of 30 years on it! It is relatively low cost, light weight and long long lasting.

Each thimble measures about 3cm/1.5inch long to have your top knuckle covered in any weather and seasons. Its oval shape enables the thimble to hold onto your finger firm (prevent it from rotating on your finger), at the same time not too tight (to pinch and hurt the sides of your quilting finger). The design is very forgiving in sizing. Most quilters can fit two sizes of thimbles, which lowers the chance of a misfit. Click for illustrated sizing instructions. Besides it is shipping free and exchangable. Click for exchange instructions.
If you don't want to worry about finger sizing at all, check out our Easy Learning Packages for hand quilting with four plastic thimbles free. So you don't need to worry about fitting!
This cone thimble is not just the best for hand quilting, it is also the best for hand piecing, the American way!

I have recently purchased a thimble, thumb thimble, thread, needles, books and markers. Instructions are so easy to follow and my work has really improved. My hands are not tired and cramped during or after working. The needles and thread make quilting make quilting a joy as well. I have taken both to my church quilting group to use with our projects. What favorable comments! Thank you, Thimble Lady, for helping me perform so much better with my "late in life" new hobby! My mother and grandmothers would be so proud! I am now quilting a top that one of my grandmothers hand pieced in 1954. Your method has made it possible for me to do justice to her beautiful work! Sincerely, Beckie

I really like this thimble a lot. It has made all the difference in my quilting. My stitches have improved, and hand quilting has become much easier since using the folding technique and this thimble. I only wish it had one more row of dimples or was completely round, so I could rotate on my finger to my liking. Definitely recommend this thimble!!

Taught another hand quilting class today and my students just love these thimbles

So very comfortable. Slides on easy, but does not fall off. This thimble fits so easily and is not hot and does no make my finger sweaty. The needle perforations are deep enough to let the needle stay in and not slip around--just what a thimble is supposed to do! My only regret--that I did not purchase one when I first saw them nearly 10 years ago.

This thimble is perfect for me! I was already using the "Thimble Lady" quilting technique, except that I wear my thimble on my pointer finger. Finally having a thimble with deep dimples right where I need them is a tremendous help and will make quilting much more enjoyable!

Love the large dimples. Wore my sterling silver one out and bought the stainless steel ones.

I am new to hand quilting and stumbled onto the Thimble Lady's technique and thimbles. I started with a plastic one and quickly knew that I would need one that would last and last because I am enjoying it so much. Doing the hand quilting is now my favorite part of the quilt-making process!

The deep dimples on this thimble hold the needle really well. I've been using the plastic version and liking it, but the stainless one is even better.

This thimble really makes a difference. It has helped immensely in learning the thimble lady method. I had a little problem with size at first and had to return it for a larger size. However, I sent a photo of the thimble wth the thimble on it and they immediately sent the size large. I hadn't even returned the one I had yet. That's service. I just wish that thimble would be coming to Paducah. I am thinking about the sterling silver one.

I bought these needles in a size Medium. Now I need to now what type of fabric uses the Small Anyway they are terrific. I have been trying different brands and sizes of needles and these are the best. No bending or breaking of needles. Just wish that they would be for sale on Amazon. I have Amazon Prime and could get them quickly and easily

At last I feel really confident and happy with my hand quilting. I still have a lot of practice to do but since my purchase my quilting has improved out of sight. I have some arthritis in my right hand, but this method together with my new thimble leaves me pain free.
Thank you again!!!

I've bought every thimble on the market, Not a single one did exactly what I wanted- star secure, hold the needle tightly, allow me to hold 6-8 stitches per pull. That has always been my quilting style as it make the quilt finish so much faster. If fabric is soft enough I even put 12 stitches per pull. Problem the thimble would slip. Very frustrating! Buy this thimble! The dimples are deep enough you'll never drop a stitch again. Needle stays secure without hand strain. One note of caution. If your quilting finger is not completely straight use a wider medium to measure your finger like 1/4 inch masking tape and convert to cc. The 1st one I ordered is too small but used it anyway till new one arrived. Giving the used one to a friend. I've been quilting all my life. (It's a Deep South thing). Believe me this is the best and last thimble you will ever need!

This is truly easier to work with than a traditional thimble. Much less strain on your finger and very comfortable. The cone thimble is my new favorite!

I love it! I have used a plastic one for years but the stainless steel one is so much better!
It gives me more control of the stitch length. Thanks so much for making these!

I am enjoying using my new thimble. I really didn't think you could change ways very easily after 30plus years of hand-quilting but, boy, am I surprised! The first 2 sessions of quilting were great but I was using the thimble wrong. I had the dimples on the back of my thimble and was still bending my knuckles. My stitches were awesome, though, and I thought "oh well, at least I tried" but didnt' think I could do it the way it's shown on youtube. Today I figured, try again! Well, something clicked and I was quilting away the Liuxin way! I can feel, also, less strain on my arthritis. I keep peeking at the back, and the stitches are awesome. Thanks!
