Thimblelady's patented Cone Thimble in stainless steel - the most durable of all! If you want one thimble to quilt for life, this is the ONE! We are so confident of its durability, we have a life warranty of 30 years on it! It is relatively low cost, light weight and long long lasting.
To become a sockist for local quilt shops: please email Thimblelady for stockist price.
Each thimble measures about 3cm/1.5inch long to have your top knuckle covered in any weather and seasons. Its oval shape enables the thimble to hold onto your finger firm (prevent it from rotating on your finger), at the same time not too tight (to pinch and hurt the sides of your quilting finger). The design is very forgiving in sizing. Most quilters can fit two sizes of thimbles, which lowers the chance of a misfit. Click for illustrated sizing instructions. Besides it is shipping free and exchangable. Click for exchange instructions.
If you don't want to worry about finger sizing at all, check out our Easy Learning Packages for hand quilting with four plastic thimbles free. So you don't need to worry about fitting!
This cone thimble is not just the best for hand quilting, it is also the best for hand piecing, the American way!

I am a novice quilter who learnt to quilt with a standard thimble. Before starting on my first large project, I bought Thimblelady's steel cone and now I am practicing with it. I already notice that it helps you relax your hand and make small stitches, although I am no expert yet. I ordered it from Australia, but because I live in the EU, I had to pay extra import duties. However, there is nothing wrong with treating yourself to a nice tool, now and then. Good investment!

When I first received the thimble I thought it was too small and I felt awkward using it. After sending Liuxin a photo she assured me I had the correct size and to practice some more. I am now a big fan of my size M stainless steel thimble and The Thimbledlady's quilting method. I was never able to use a traditional thimble successfully and my finger tips were always tender from needle pricks. Thanks to my new thimble and the quilting method I am not only reducing the size of my stitches and quilting faster but my fingers are no longer sore. Thank you so much Liuxin

This thimble fits perfectly and makes quilting fun!

After years of wearing the traditional thimble I tried this one and it is the best thimble. I NEVER wear any other thimble and my stitches are perfect. Have ordered another for a different finger.

Having worn out my silver thimble I replaced it with the steel one and just love it. I am sure I am doing more stitches to the inch now！

I got the medium thimble first and then ordered the medium large and large for friends so we would have different sizes to try/use. I did find that while the medium fit fine, I preferred the medium large when it arrived. It fit more comfortably over my arthritic fingers. Evidently my fingers are just a tad larger between knuckle and fingernail due to arthritis. Very comfortable and needles don't slip out of the deep dimples. Have always used a fingertip thimble before, but this thimble will be more forgiving on my joints. Love the lifetime warranty, too.

I found this thimble quite easy to use even though I have not been using a thimble. Previous thimbles were uncomfortable and caused discomfort when I used them, so I stopped using a thimble. I am very happy to spare my finger and will start more handwork again.

Love this thimble!!! It is more comfortable than any other I've ever worn. It grabs and holds the needle really well. And, almost immediately, my stitches got smaller than ever before. I have already ordered another one- must have a backup just in case. I really love this thimble!

The sizing was an issue for me, but the exchange was quick and easy. (I have arthritis and my hands change during the course of a day.)
This thimble is very comfortable. My needle never slips from the dimple, and I can rotate the thimble to stitch in any direction -- a must for when I'm restoring a fragile piece that requires minimum handling. I even use this thimble when I'm restoring frayed crazy quilt embroidery.

I have arthritic fingers which have been hard to size. I sincerely thank Liuxin for her patience in getting the best size.

I now look for this thimble whenever I quilt very comfortable and well made

The thimble stays on my finger well - I like the deep grooves. It is a bit hard -almost wish I had bought the flexible model.

This thimble is very well made. Fits nicely on my finger and feels comfortable.

I love the thimble. It's still a tad too large, but I work using it until my fingers can't take it any longer. Too bad there isn't a size in between the medium and large.

This is my third Thimblelady Thimble. The first was a trial nylon one. Then I bought my second SILVER thimble. After 12 years I wore 2 holes in my silver thimble, so now I have the Stainless Steel one. Best ever thimble I have ever used.

Love this thimble, it stays on your finger even with long nails. Where as other metal + silicone thimbles, wobble or are not close fitting.
Very easy to quilt with and protects finger very well.

I enjoy quilting the thimblelady very much and it did good for me. One of the awards I have won was the Best handquilted Award in Amerika. It is painfree and very beautifull. I teach every student that comes to my shop quilting this way and they love it too.

This thimble is well made and the dimples are bigger than normal. It will take me some time to get used to it because I don't usually wear one but I'm sure with practice it will become second nature.
