Product Description

Sewing needles made in surgical steel in a packet of 26 needles. Thimblelady Brand. Sharper and thinner with a smoother surface - egonomically designed to reduce the stress on sewing hands from "pinching", "pushing" and "pulling" needles.

3 sizes to choose from: Size Large for coarse and loose weave fabrics (Thread count between 20*20/60*60 - 30*30/60*60); Size Medium for normal weave fabrics (thread counts between 40*40/80*80 - 50*50/98*98); Size Small for fine and tight weave fabrics (thread counts between 60*60/110*110 - 80*80/175*210). These figures are general reference for selecting needles to sew.

The point of selecting needles to match the densities of fabrics is to make sure needles are thin enough to penetrate through the materials easily. So to reduce physical stress from gripping needle hard, or pushing needle hard. It is not an exageration to say, good selection of needles and materials will double your result at half the effort! 1. Excellent results 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jan 2017

    My new favorite needles!

Strong, yet easy to maneuver in tightly detailed designs. The points stay sharp and the eyes are easy to thread.

I came to order more needles and thought I'd also let you know how much I like these.

  2. Easy quilting with theses needles 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jan 2017

I am a beginner hand quilter and have had a hard time finding a needle that I was comfortable using. I don't like a small needle. The large size needle I bought from The ThimbleLady is fantastic; strong, sharp and easy to thread. It has made my hand quilting experience much more enjoyable. I am sold and I will not be using any other brand needles!

These needles are wonderful to work with. Made me start to love quilting instead of leaving my quilts ufo.

  4. Slender Hand Sewing Needles With a Generous Eye 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Aug 2016

Having 26 needles in the pack, I've shared with my quilter friends. I like the smooth, slender size, large eye, and quantity. I ordered the lap hoop plus 2 packs of needles and got free shipping to the US. The hoop and needles make my hand quilting a pleasure! I wish I had these 33 years ago when I started quilting (age 78 now).

  5. Superior Needles 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Aug 2016

These are very strong, smooth hand needles.
Although I've worn the sharp tips off several, they last much longer than the John James I usually use. Nothing wrong with JJ, but I do notice a difference.

I expected the needles to be a bit longer to load full of stitches. I can't load more than 5 or 6 stitches, but perhaps with more practice I'll get to that. Or my batting may be too thick.

  8. I love these needles 5 Star Review

My big clumsy hands don't get on well with Betweens but these needles are longer and work for me. I don't know why I didn't try them sooner!

Super sharp and slide thru fabric with ease. Do not load more than four stitches befor pulling thru but still is much quicker than any other needle I have tried. I now would not be without them.

  10. Quilting Needles 4 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Jun 2015

I was looking forward to these after seeing the video and how many stitches you can load on the needle. The first needle I used broke before I used it 5 minutes. They are thin, which is great and I love the idea but I now only load about 5-6 stitches before pulling through. They are better than a quilting between! Perhaps I am gun shy after the break and am afraid to load too much on the needle.

  12. Excellent needles! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd May 2015

I've been learning Thimblelady's quilting technique and these needles are great. I'm amazed at how strong they are and I like the longer length; they're much easier to handle. My stitches keep getting shorter and more even the longer I use them.

  14. Quilting needles.... 4 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Jul 2014

I am using these needles for the first time as I try to change my method of quilting to the method of Liuxin. I have always been of the mind that the shorter the needle the shorter the stitch....but to my complete surprise, my stitches are just as good if not better! So far, I would say that they seem like a very strong needle, as well.

  15. Needles for hand applique 4 Star Review

First tried one of these needles when given one by someone at a class. Much easier to use that the sort I had been using so I bought some of my own.

  16. Size S Needles the Best for All Hand Applique 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th May 2014

These are just the best needles I've ever found for applique, & I've used a lot of different ones. They are good for all types of fabrics. I don't care for the Size M for applique because they are thicker & not as flexible. The flexibility of the Size S is nice, but yet it does not stay permanently bent but returns to its original straight position. Thank you, Thimblelady!

  17. best hand sewing needles 5 Star Review

My friend recommended these and I could not figure out why she raved about them. But now I know. They are sharp, comfortable in the hand and do not bend or break. Great needles
