What our Customers Say...
I received my essentials quilt kit and am enjoying learning your folding method. It does work best on the cloth and batting in the kit. I am loading 10 stitches on the needle and will soon do 12 I'm sure... I loaded twelve stitches on the needle today!  It is absolutely fabulous. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I noticed it works best on the fabric and batting you sent with the kit. What thread count is the fabric you use in the kit?. Your book mentioned the thread count. When I tried it on a quilt I have in my classic floor frame it won't load stitches the same. I have denser fabric and 100 cotton batting in it, the difference is night and day.- Candice

I have been in awe of your handwork from the moment I saw you on Simply Quilts.  Coexisting with my highspeed internet and TiVo'd cable TV (mostly Simply Quilts of course), I didn't think I was the kind of person who could or would hand quilt, but I was intrigued by your SQ appearance and promptly gave it a shot - bypassing the "traditional" quilting pitfalls altogether.  After watching that SQ about 20 times and your DVD another 5 times, I was well on my way.  I am now on my 4th hand quilted piece - and love nothing more than to sit and quilt with my cone thimble WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN (completely thanks to you!).  You have given me glorious quiet time for myself after a long day.  I have even invested in a floor hoop for myself and look forward to many quilts to come!  Thank you SO much for your technique, your thimble and most of all your inspiration.  I am completely indebted and hope to one day meet you in your travels to the US.  I am eagerly awaiting your next masterpiece! -Michelle Naftal, Atlanta, Georgia

I just used your new thimble, threw away my other 10 soft and regular thimbles.  Don't need them anymore.  After reading your book, my quilt stitch changed within hours.  I seem to be stitching so much faster, with so little strain on my hands with much tinier stitches.  I am telling all my quilting friends, thank you so much.  Debi Hunt, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Dear Liuxin,   I received my replacement thimble today and  it fits
beautifully!  Thank you for your prompt  shipment and for selecting the
correct size.  Your thimble is wonderful and your company is true to its
word.  Feel free to use my endorsement if you so wish.  Thanks again, Sharon C.  USA

Your technique makes the old way truly obsolete.- Marilynn Torri
It (The applique book) just arrived today and I haven't taken a break since I broke open the package.  It was a delight to read, especially having met you and trying the method.  Joy will be just as excited.  We talked about going to San Mateo to see you again; then decided the time would be wiser spent just doing the practice.  The new book is so great and for me it greatly reinforces what we were told.  Illustrations and diagrams are very effective.  I'm going to use both books to demonstrate to other teachers what I mean by "effective teaching skills".  Thank you so much.  Ellie Gill and Joy Osterberg

You are the only reason that I am attempting to quilt by hand again. I have been using my machine for everything except for some minor appliqué work that I enjoy doing by hand. I have not been very successful at my previous attempts of hand quilting and I am hoping that your method, along with your thimbles and needles will change all of that!- Michael

I just wanted to send a short message regarding the quilting class I took a few days ago in Salem, OR, USA. I have never been able to hand quilt because of arthritis but learning this way of quilting has changed my life. I was able to quilt the first three hours of the class with no pain any where and my stitches got better and better. I have been practicing at home ever since and getting better and enjoying it for the first time in my life.
Thank You! - Marsha Waite
I want you to know that I have arthritic fingers and that is why I wanted to try your method. It works so much better. I can actually quilt again. Thank you for showing us the way to painless quilting. I am spreading the word. -Linda Smith
I used a variety of thimbles that had  recessed tops, but my poor forefinger! Believe me, I tried all kinds of gimmicks to lesson
the strain and pain  on my hands but none worked like your thimbles.
So I want you to know that I now find the quilting much more
enjoyable than before I had your thimbles!  I wish I had known about them before 2000! - Lois Dunagan.
I thoroughly enjoyed your appliqué workshop yesterday in Perth. Your
methods of teaching were excellent, the information clear and the notes
and diagrams easy to understand. I loved the fact that you were not
precious with any of your secrets but shared your joy of appliqué and
quilting with us. Your knowledge of the physicality of sewing was
outstanding and it is clear you have put a great deal of time into not
only your craft but classes and products.-Gillian Marshall
Thank you for your e-mail. I have already ordered your dvd, which I received
today. I'm so happy with it! You are really brilliant. I've a lot of books
about handquilting (from Roxanne to Elsie Campbell, from Diana Leone to
Jeanna Campbell, but nobody is so simple and efficient as you. Simply
brilliant!!! I enjoy this aspect of your creativity. -Carmen Georgescu
This is the best thimble I have ever had and I own the Roxanne thimble and this one beats it by far.I am in the processes of learning your technique and find it very easy as soon as I overcome pushing too hard with the needle when it's straight up. I have your book and tape and it's like having private lessons in my home. - Melissa Delatore

I wish to thank you for a most informative, exciting and enjoyable weekend in Canberra in February. Both Katrina and I think that these are two of the best classes we have ever attended. We have gone to needle turn classes before only to be disappointed. Your class has blown us away. I have now gone from using freezer paper because that was the only way I could get the appliqué neat to needle turn. It really is quite easy once you know how to fold the fabric correctly etc. - Janice
I attended your class at Lake City Iowa in Christi shop, Towne Square Quilt Shoppe. I have recently moved to NW Arkansas. I have had fabulous success with your thimbe technique.
I hand quilted 7 queen size quilts in a year. It is definately a lot faster with my two thimbles. I was so glad you had shown me the thimble for my thumb after lunch that day at the Library. I am sorry I was a difficult student and asked too many questions, but boy did I take off. Thank you for that encourgement that I had the technique down even though I did not feel I did. -Ann Johnston
Since Sept., I've made a quilt for a new grandchild and hand quilted it with the thimble you sent me.  This is just to thank you and tell you I am a true believer!  My quilting is better and there is no pain involved.  Thank you so much.-Fran Veatch
Hi, I had to take a few minutes to write to you.  I asked for your lap hoop for Christmas and am I glad I did!  I just began quilting a king size wedding quilt for my son using my old oval hoop.  I about tore my arms out of their sockets trying to turn it, and then I remembered I hadn't tried your hoop.  It makes all the difference in the world; the next few months of quilting will be a joy rather than (quite literally) a pain!-Kathy
Many thanks for your wonderful class last Friday on applique.  I certainly
had my eyes opened to so many more possiblities with the techniques you
showed us.  I know that practicing these techniques will improve my applique so much and look forward to challenging my abilities more!  I have always enjoyed your classes - thank you so much. - Kirsten
I just wanted to thank you for the needles. They glide through the fabric like a hot knife through butter. And I just love my quilt hoop. It is so much easier than trying to hold it and quilt.-Vicki Angstadt
Just wanted to let you know that I have tested the needles and they are FANTASTIC!  No need for any other needle now! - Angela Davenport
Boy, do I love my two thimbles you made for me and your tape. Please let me know when you will be in Florida and where. Thank you for your kindness. -Rose Rader
I am the "Queen of make do with what you have". In my first attempts I broke a needle right away, but then switched to a heavier gauge needle (as your book suggests), the stitches glide through like butter with very little effort. Later I switched back to my previous way of hand quilting.... there was no comparison with the effort it took..... YOUR way is BETTER!! It will be such a treat to have the 'real thing'.- Sandee Hennessey
